Integrative Medicine
The way healthcare should be…
Integrative medicine is the field of medicine that combines traditional and alternative healing methods (nutrition, exercise and movement, acupuncture, breathwork, meditation, dietary supplements, etc.) with modern medical care (medications, surgeries, etc.).
Integrative medicine physicians believe:
The body has the ability to heal itself if properly nourished. Prevention is KEY - making the right choices today can ensure good health for years to come.
It is important to support the body as well as the mind and the spirit.
Effective methods that are natural and less invasive should be used when possible.
Patients play an active, engaged role in their own healthcare.
It is important to constantly seek new information as healthcare evolves.
It is necessary to be open-minded to new paradigms of health as our knowledge evolves.
